Hello Everyone.
I thought it was time for the October Newsletter. A little later than the others have been. Its been a busy time with the book launch happening. It was a wonderful evening blessed by my Waitaha mentor which I am sure will enhance the books ability to propagate sales across the globe once I figure out how to get it out past Dunedin. It will happen though. Its selling quite well and I am nearly ready for a second print run. My editor tells me I need to tidy up the back cover so in deference to her, I will be doing that.

The first Munay Ki event occurs on the 8th &9th November. I had to change the dates because of another commitment. It’s a dedicated event for ex-students, clients or invited others and will be the only one of its kind held, so if there are any more of you who have worked with me in the past and would like to avail yourself of this opportunity please let me know straight away as I could probably squeeze one or two more in at a pinch. The next one will be March 2009 for the public at large. Its very exciting to have the opportunity to initiate people into these rites in preparation for the Earth changes associated with 2012 and the coming new era. We don’t have to look far to see those changes now. If anyone would like to look into the Munay Ki in more detail, they can do so on the four winds (www.thefourwinds.com) sight of Alberto Vilalldo who was the first non Qu’ero person to have received the rites at their hands for the purpose of bringing them out to us in the Western World.

The other exciting thing is that I have started work on the Psychosynthesis book again now and that is also looking good so it should be on schedule for early 2010 also. Its been fun learning to draw my diagrams on the computer. I would like to think it would be ready to begin the final design process early next year, if not before.
As some of you know, I have been studying the Maori language this year.The emphasis they place on ancestry (whakapapa) has really brought my own journey with my ancestors to the for. I have recently placed an entry in a forum of the author Manda Scott whose Boudicca series I really recommend. Novels from the heart and spirit of a woman that walks the journey of spirit.I have inserted the entry below for you to read. I hope it inspires you.

The times are very exciting now. The economic crash is right on cue as was predicted. Its interesting how the powers are all scrabbling to find a solution, but turning their backs on climate change, oil depletion, endangered species melting ice caps etc. They don’t seem to get it.There will be no return to ‘business as usual’. There are too many variables. That doesn’t make me angry any more as it did after 911. I see now the design in it all. There is no way the human race at large would change except by being forced to it. Now thats truly what we are about to be. Thats why I think the Munay Ki is important. We need to know that there is a way through the chaos. The need to have our spiritual selves strong so that we don’t go insane with the rest of the world. Well actually thats been insane for a long time and is about to wake up. We are going to need each others strength to weather the cosmic storms as well as the economic ones. But we can. Not as we have in the past, and not to return to our old ways again, but to walk through the new gateway of spirit that is opening up for us; a gateway into a new dimensional reality. Every month since I put the contents up online on the website, the statistics say that it has come top of the list of Google searches. There are a lot of people out there concerned with and fascinated by the concept that we may be set to evolve far past where the human race has gone before. Many years ago I came across the concept in an amazing book called the Awakening Earth by Peter Russel. The truth spoke to me and I have held the belief ever since that we are not the end product but merely a step along the way to a new being that will come into existence when the time is right. Now is that time, and when I heard about the Muany Ki, it fit so well with this feeling that I went and did it without really having any other information about it initially. Now I know that it is one of the steps that can draw us closer to that reality. I am told that the eighth rite, the Star Keeper Rite, seals us to that inevitability. Thats why I want you all to have them, if not this year, next year. There aren’t too many years left if the 2012 prophecies are correct. The Mayans knew something and its repeated throughout the beliefs of indigenous America, Waitaha, not to mention the Christians. So: exciting times despite the unraveling reality we currently inhabit.Whats going to hold us back?? Old undealt with hurts. Stuff that ties us to the past.Undealt with anger. Focus on wealth accumulation. (Not that there is anything wrong with being well off. But focusing all our energy on it will leave little time for that which abides). Finally fear! Fear will trap us in this reality and freeze us so that when the time comes we don’t move forward. Fear is always there to be moved through and on from. Its never there to paralyze us. Thats just what happens when we get stuck in it.
What do we need most? Spiritual growth, dealing with our energy blockages, forgiving and blessing our past and those that have accompanied us on that journey and preparing our lives for a transition that will eventually see most of what we currently know as our means of survival disappear. So, getting our priorities right.

Also food, shelter, water, community, people who can hold us spiritually and most of all… unconditional love for ourselves and others. Without that we will get sidetracked into petty issues and that is a waste of precious time we haven’t got.  (However maybe we have forever but I for one don’t want to spend it on petty issues in this or any other dimension).

So thats it for this month.Thank you to those who came to the launch and made it the wonderful blessing it was. If there are any of you out there that have a group of 5 or more that would like me to come and speak to you, in your home, organizations, anywhere, I will come, as long as I can bring my book for possible sale. It’s not a requirement that they buy but it would be nice. When I was starting out as a tarot reader (and no, I don’t do that any more), I used to do tarot parties, like Tupperware only better for you. Same principle now. Get a group together for a meal, nibblies, drinks (after I’ve spoken please). Make a night of it. I have this song crunching around in my head: “Should I stay or should I go….dah,dah,dah,dah!” Wednesday should be the day I fly out to go get ‘ritualised’ once more into the last two Munay Ki rites and my life long habit of getting sick when it is least convenient (which is always) has been rite (humm) on target yet again. So I am coughing and wheezzing and worrying through the days “should I stay or should I go???” Damn! Still the beauty about being shaman is that we are frugal. That is, we use everything to advantage and I have been contemplating the uses that this inconvenience is leading me to. One thing that comes up is the translation of Munay Ki itself. The four winds website (www.thefourwinds.com) tell me it means ‘be as thou art’ or ‘love’. Unconditional variety: the best kind.

Amongst the thoughts of the New Age, one I like the least is the theory that says if your not totally healed and perfect in everything RIGHT NOW, your doing something wrong! The stated or implied reasons for this is that you are letting some belief from the past set your patterns now. ‘Scuse me? Of course I am! If it wasn’t for my past beliefs I would not exist as I am now, rough and smooth. I mean, its not a good idea to jettison ALL beliefs or you become cosmic jelly. And while we are ferreting away finding the ones that work for us (and there are many I kid you not) from those that go against us, in the process of self development, its a good idea to get feedback from the beliefs that are already there. That way I can address them and make the changes I am capable of at this stage of my growth and hopefully move up a grade. Bit by bit I get to see new feedback and can decide if I am happy with the outcome or need some more tinkering with a few more bits on that one. I am a work in progress. And lovin’ it!

So ‘be as thou art’ sits well with me. I don’t want to keep having nasty little inconvenient patterns any more than the next but I sure as hell defend my right to work on the project until I’ve learned all I can from it (‘it’ being Me). So I don’t know if I will be on that flight out on Wednesday next or not. If I’m not, I’ll be pissed off and learning from that. If I am I shall be scared shitless and learning from that. What I won’t be is in denial. No way. So to all those of you who are holding your breath for me to get started initiating here…better take a breath. It may, or it may not, be this year. I’ll let you know next post. Now the book news. It arrives in my hot hands Monday. Reweaving The Web is a reality at last. Those of you that have pre-ordered for discount: well done. Hi Everyone.As I am going to be launching myself back into practice and teaching this year, I have decided to begin a newsletter to keep you all abreast of my activities and ideas and informed on dates of book launches, intensives, workshops and talks that will start to happen in the future. This is just an initial contact to see who would like to be on the mailing list and who would prefer not to. Please let me know so I can consolidate the list. I have chosen you initially as you have either done work with me in the past or have requested to be on the list, (in which case you have no need to reply to this email).The newsletter will be periodic, and will coincide with new events or inspirations to pass on to you. It is to inform you, inspire you, and connect to you.A quick update:Its been a long sabbatical for me. I went into retreat partially in 2005 and fully from there on. Much of that time has been spent working on myself and the books, with a few radio shows thrown in for good measure in Dunedin and Christchurch, and a 30 week shamanic course for a few selected people, out of which grew the first book off the rank “Reweaving the Web-A Shamanic Journey of Connection.”. The retreat from the public eye was much needed, as was the time to allow my creative juices to flow. Towards the end of February, two events brought me out of my seclusion. One was some work I have been doing with a local Waitaha man. Starting with story telling of their tradition, one story lead to him laying on me a challenge to once again work with the grounding of the Pakeha (white New Zealanders) people. Of course, we are everywhere, not just in NZ and I think its true to say we all need grounding. As my Waitaha teacher says, we come originally from the Northern Hemisphere and our energy is in a turmoil. I see that he is right for many of us. Even flying to Australia sends my energy field into a turmoil that takes time to settle. How much more does that occur when we are uprooted from our own tribal lands to live across the globe.I think there is much worth looking into in these concepts. Nevertheless, 15 minutes after the session I had with him, I felt more grounded than I had for many years. There was no immediate change in direction, but certainly a feeling of having my feet on a new path to somewhere.
